HA Amaura Event

Hey guys,
I didn't manage to get the Staryu so that will be on hold as now I am trying for the Amaura. I am hoping that the event one itself will count as a pokémon from a foriegn game, but if not then it doesn't matter.
I am upset that my event Amaura is male but it makes up for it in its modest nature, and to SR for a female with modest would take too long (especially because females are 12.5%)

Sup

This post is basically me just saying I haven't forgotten about the blog, I just haven't been shiny hunting too much recently, I've had quite a few assessments at school for the past week. 
Still no shinies, also I have replaced the Entei hunt with Masuda Method for Staryu (using japanese ditto). I'm not aiming for good IVs, I just want a shiny Starmie. 
If I do not get it before March 31 then I will begin to hunt for shiny Amaura HA.

Less than an hour after Kakuna, I hunted for Corphish (Staryu was uncommon and I already have a wailmer/wailord and I don't need another XD) and within the hour I found this beauty! I think my next hunt will be for Entei in the Trackless Forest (found by Soaring with Ho-oh or Lugia in the party)

Me oh my, I didn't think I would get it in time for the Enter the Dragon Type comeptition!
Got it after school today, on a chain of a whopping 450! (and total encounters of 867)
Now I can resume my Sentret hunt! What should I hunt for on ORAS now?... I'm thinking of Chain Fishing for a Staryu in Lilycove City...

Possible Drought?

Well, as you could guess by the title I'm not going so well with either of my hunts...
I have temporarily put Sentret on hold so I won't break my chain with Kakuna, which is currently in the 800s encounters and a chain of 421 (I started counting). 
I'm thinking I might not have this Beedrill for the Enter The Dragon Type competition, which sucks.
But all I can do is persist, lend me your luck people! XD

Alrighty then, first proper update I guess...

On my Pokémon X I am hunting for a Sentret on route 6 via RE (random encounters), this is the first in a while I've done REs, let's just hope for the best. Other Pokémon I wouldn't mind on this route are Espurr, Honedge, Nincada and Oddish, so in other words I'm happy with whatever I get, but the aim is Sentret.

On my Alpha Sapphire I am preparing for a competitive Beedrill, shiny of course. I find Masuda Method fairly tedious, so I'm avoiding that. Instead, I'm doing Dexnav for Kakuna with 6 Jolly synchronize Beheeyem I caught as Elgyem on Route 121, they are currently being trained and having their PP maxed so I can go for the longest chains without using Leppa Berries or Ethers/Elixers. I am unsure whether it is possible to get hidden ability Beedrill via this method due to the fact Kakuna does not have a hidden ability, which I don't really mind because it will be my mega.

I am not counting encounters with either hunt, however if Kakuna is under 999 total encounters then I will make sure to mention it (if not mentioned, assume 999+)

Apparently this stuff is in Times New Roman (never mind I found out how to change it stop panicking guys) Hopefully that's just how it is while I'm editing it...

Anyway, I'm Andrew AKA TheGusGus42! This blog is for my shiny hunting adventures which I plan to do for a while. I have already caught 40+ of them, and I plan to go even further! I will leave a list of my current shinies at the bottom of this post, and if I can find a way I'll make some sort of checklist or something.

A bit about me: 

- I'm 17 and currently in my second last year of school, then I have to go into University... 

- Currently living in Australia, moved here when I was a wee toddler

- Due to my current internet status, timezone and schooling, streaming on twitch is not a possibility for me
